Longest Post Ever - The Month of June

Over the past month we have experienced so many fun things. We couldn't not share them with our family and friends. So below is a brief (I tried to be brief) update of the month of June.

On June 25th Kaedyn turned 5 months old. (Amazing)

Earthquake in OHIO?? Hmmm.
So the other day Kaedyn is supposedly taking a nap upstairs. And I hear this loud banging and shaking noise coming from upstairs. So of course I want to freak out a little cause I have no idea whats going on. And of course, it's our creative little Kaedyn totally NOT napping and making beautiful music with her feet and banging them against her crib and the wall. Let's add it to the list of Kaedyns crazy talents.

Kaedyn, realizing how funny she is..

Kaedyn totally loves bath time. It's fun that she likes to play with her little duckies, and try to pick them up with her feet and then suck on her toes. She also loves to splash so hard, and thinks it is so funny to see all the water moving around. The only part that she doesn't like is that we won't let her drink the water out of the bowl, she always tries to grab it or suck all the water out of the washcloth.

We Love, Love,Love sunshine, and going on walks. Please stay away dark and dreary weather.
Kaedyn loves to put her feet up on this bar during our many walks. She feels sooo accomplished when she does this.
Happy Girl

This week she has learned how to give kisses back.. Soooo Sweet
I will take her wet slobbery kisses anytime of the day.

What a fun week this has been.
On Saturday June 7th we gave Kaedyn her first try of Rice Cereal, and she actually had fun trying it. Our little one is growing up, too quick... At her 4 month app. the Doctor gave us the go-ahead with solids. He said her head control and the way she was starting to sit-up so well were great indicators of her being ready. We actually waited about 2 more weeks and started her on solids at about 4 1/2 months, (she has such a tender tummy) it makes me nervous.

She also started exercising this week too. 4 Months old and exercising ?

(Say What)? That's right when ever I put her in her vibrating chair and give her the toy rings to play with this is what I catch her doing..

Pull (You can tell she is working hard)
One and
Two
Another funny thing is she is always wanting to stand up. This started about a month ago when it was time to burp her after feeding her she wanted to burp standing up. Most of the time when I am sitting down and holding her, of course she just wants to stand. Sometimes Brent will hold her hands and help her move her feet along the floor as if she is walking, this is always a funny sight to see, this little tiny girl walking across the room..

And lastly, Kaedyn has discovered her feet, and "She Loves Them". They are like her little treat. Whenever she is laying down, right away her feet are up in her mouth, she is a flexible little monkey.. We Love all the silly things she is learing to do

2008

Some more Fun firsts happened this past week in our home.
1. Kaedyns big girl Highchair arrived this week. She sure looks so tiny in such a big chair.
2. We let her give the jumper a try and she loved it. She especially loved the musical mat that we put beneath her feet that made animal noises, dance music and silly sounds. It is fun to see her explore new things each and every day.
3. Fathers Day

Can you find the hidden image????
Yes that is spit-up more like a (waterfall) coming out of her mouth.
Spit up has become my new perfume, (very lovely)

Boing, Boing Boing. Kaedyn was a little unsure at first

I Love Her skinny little legs..

Happy Father's Day
Brent was always meant to be a Daddy. He is such a kind, patient, loving and funny person.
Hugs & Kisses to you Brentie
Love Mommy & Kaedyn
Happy first official “Fathers Day”
P.S. Even though last year Brent and I secretly celebrated Fathers Day together as a Family, I was just about 9 weeks Prego. But of course that was just our little secret for many more months. That was fun last year, but even better this year since Baby Kaedyn was finally in our home to celebrate with us.

She Loves to grab noses..(obviously)
My Daddy Rocks

We made Brent a yummy dinner with HoneyBaked Ham,
and for dessert a Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Cake.

Yes Look Closely..

Look at this silly girl, YES those are her imprints of her fingers on her little forehead. She sure looks goofy, especially when it took over an hour for them to fade away.

I have to say these are not the most appealing photos of either Kaedyn or I

Kaedyn and her first try @ Peas.
Yum she liked them...

A day at Chagrin Falls. This is a fun little town to go walking/shopping.

The Falls are so Beautiful, Kaedyn sure enjoyed them too, she loves the sound of running water.

What is he doing?
Dr Powell (The 2nd year Pediatric Dental Resident)
Offering his 5 Month old Baby Girl some Soda.

This is how the situation went, Kaedyn and her first encounter with “Sprite”

Kaedyn sees her Daddy drinking a Soda

Kaedyn reaches for the Soda

She gets a grip of the can
She is pulling in on her focus of the soda
She goes in for a drink, mouth wide open.

Does she get some?

Awwww, Daddy pulls it away..
If you were here, you would have heard me gasp and suck in air.

He gave in, and at 5 months old Kaedyn has her first taste of Soda(more like a lick or drop). Good thing her Dady is here to show her how to Brush her teeth correctly...

Mommy and Kaedyn
I know to some of you this may sound totally lame, but I love it when Kaedyn and I are matching. Everyday when it’s time to get dressed we first pick out her outfit, and then it’s time for Mommies. We always try to find something matching. In the end this little tradition is usually very helpful, because otherwise it seems like most days I can stand in front of my closet for an hour trying to figure out what to wear. At least now I have it narrowed down to what color I am looking to wear. I will usually hold up two different shirts and which ever she grabs, that’s what I’ll wear. This is much easier for me, and I have way less clothes to have to hang back up, since I know longer try on 10 different shirts each day. (At least I try not too)….:)

Kaedyn Loves to Pull Hair (Ouchy)

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad
This was so much fun, the train took us through the parks and into some really beautiful areas in Ohio. We saw Eagles nesting way up in the trees, deers running through meadows.
What a fun expereince this was for our little family.

A Day at The Akron Zoo

Kaedyn Loved looking at all the animals
The Bear really liked her too...

This zoo had the most Beautiful Lions

I'm Bringing SEXY Back.. Yep!!!!
Wow it is so amazing what a new haircut can do. The moment my stylist cut off my ponytail, (almost 10 inches), it felt wonderful. With all this sunny weather and my new style I think the fun & Sassy Kiley is Back... Plus it helps that Kaedyn loved it, (she still recognized me, and of course Brent loves anything about me... Sooo Sweet..
Kaedyn made me feel so Special.. Luv It..

Her eyes are amazingly blue! Shockingly so, I might say. She reminds me so much of Eva when she was little.

I can't believe you went to the Akron zoo. Really now. You had a choice between Chagrin Falls, the metroparks, the Cleveland zoo...so many OTHER things to do...one living in Cleveland should never be forced to visit Akron. As a former Clevelander, I question your sanity...must be the late nights.

Way to go on the updates. Kaedyn is so adorable! It's so fun to see her and see how much you are enjoying having her in your family. What a lucky girl to be in such a loving family.

Kaedyn's pics look JUST like all of Laycie's when she was that age---a huge wet spot at the top of her shirt from drooling. Glad she wasn't the only one--it use to drive me nuts! I'd change her outfit constantly!
