Kaedyn @ 9 Weeks
Kaedyn is doing so well, she is just over 2 months old, and is finally about to outgrow her newborns diapers. She looks so big to Brent and I, but where ever we go people are always asking if she is a preemie, I think she is just dainty..She is so full of life, and is fascinated by just about everything. She is still addicted to the swing, but as soon as she gets over her Jet Lag and we get her back on Ohio time, we plan to help her get used to sleeping in her crib again. At 9 weeks old, Kaedyn can have such fun and "loud" conversations, she smiles so much, and is loving bath time even more, as soon as we turn the bath water on she starts to wiggle and gets so excited. We are happy that she looks forward to her baths and that they help relax her a bit before bedtime. Storytime is a fun time in our household, I was given so many fun books at my baby shower, and Kaedyn is enjoying being read to several times a day. We Love going on walks together as a family, and enjoy some occasional sunshine here in Cleveland.

Kaedyn's First trip on an Airplane
Well we just got home from CA Thursday morning at about 1:00 am. The flight there was wonderful, Kaedyn did so great she slept for some of the time, but was more than happy just hanging out and looking around. She is definitely a "People Watcher". Anyways the trip home was a completley different story, Kaedyn was still wonderful, which was a great suprise, cause I think Mama was about to have a meltdown, (actually I think I did). Anyways our flight left CA at 7:30am, or so we thought. Some how things got mixed up and our flight actually left at 6:30am so we totally missed our flight. Thank goodness my Dad was able to pick us back up at the airport and take us back home for a few hours, since the new flight we were given didn't leave until about 10:00am. So to make a long story short we were supposed to get back to Cleveland on Wed at about 4:30pm. It ends up the new flights we were given, we now had to have 3 different layovers, none of our seats were together as a family, so we were asking people to switch with us on every flight. The biggest drama of this flight home was our last flight that was actually overbooked so there were no extra seats, and nobody wanted to switch seats with us because 1) It was a 4 hour flight. 2) Both of us were now assigned middle seats. Are you kidding Me. There is no way that as a new mother (one that is nursing too) was about to sit in the middle of two guys and actually try to feed my little newborn. Brent asked several different people and nobody would switch with us. Sooooo Sad... Well as a hormonal and emotional new Mother it didn't take much effort to get me to start crying. And what do you know, a few seconds after the tears came squirting out someone finally offered to switch with us. So we could actually sit together as a fmily, and Brent could help protect me from any "Peepers" as I tried to feed Kaedyn. If I could feed her on an airplane, I believe I can feed her anywhere.
Do airplanes make babies gassy? They do for Kaedyn, she was a gassy gus after both trips. Below are a few cute pics of Brent doing gasercize with Kaedyn. Also she sucked her thumb for the first time we got back home to Cleveland. Shes hasn't done it again since that night. She sure looked precious, so I am happy we got a couple cute pictures.

Easter Sunday
March 23rd 2008, Kaedyn is 8 weeks and 3 days old. What a fun day we had together as a family. We were in California for Easter this year. It was so much fun to be with my family and for Kaedyn to have so much fun with cousins, Aunts, Uncles and of course Nana & Papa. She slept in Easter morning which is always nice, we got to give her, her very First Easter presents, got dressed up for church in a cute Easter dress, (she actually wore the same dress I did when I was a newborn. And best of all she got to enjoy her very First Easter Egg Hunt.

Kaedyn's Blessing Day
What a special day this was for our little family. We flew to California so that Kaedyn could meet her Nana & Papa, and some of her Cousins, Aunts and Uncles. We were able to have her Blessed while we were there too. This was such a memorable day. Kaedyn was so happy she woke up with a smile on her face that morning. It was so much fun getting her all dressed up in her beautiful white dress. I can honestly say that she really loved getting all dressed up and that she knew that today was her very special day. It was a beatiful blessing, and a day that we will always cherish. *Sometimes you have to put your cursor (little arrow/hand on the slideshow to get it going and to show the captions...

Kaedyns 1st Round of Shots
On March 12th, Kaedyn went in at 7 Weeks for a bunch of shots, (I know many more are to come). I hope infants don't remember things that are too tramatizing, like all the blood draws in her 3 day old arms, needle slices in her heels, all those sad experiences from her first week of life, due to Jaundice. Anyways she was a total trooper, the Doctor actaully gave her all her shots, and he did them all so fast, I was suprised. Kaedyn was so brave, she cried during them, but wasn't screaming. She just looked more sad and confused about why someone was hurting her. Afterwards I picked her up, and she hugged me so tight, as she kept crying. During this appointment, she actually had "Tears" when she was crying, something she hadn't had before. I told that to the Doctor, and he explained (well she hasn't had a reason to ever squirt those real tears yet, because today was the day she was actually hurt bad enough and sad enough to let those tears come on out... Sooo SAD..

Crazy Cleveland Weather
WoW, what a wild week of weather we have had in Cleveland. March 7th, 8th and 9th, we got pounded with tons of snow. This was suppossed to be my Birthday weekend. It's obvious we didn't get to go out and celebrate. Good thing it's a tradition in our family to not only have a fun Birthday, but more like a Birthday Month. All month long, everyday of the month is your special day. Whatever you say goes, and You are always right (no questions asked). Below are a few pictures of all the snow we got.

Trying out the Bebe Pod
This week we introduced Kaedyn to her "Bebe Pod". Since she has been holding her head up since week 1 we thought she might like it, as the pictures show I think she might be a little too tiny for her chair..
