Ding Ding Ding

It's Here!

About a week before Kaedyn's 9 month Birthday I gave her a little taste of my oatmeal from silver spoon. And Ding, Ding, Ding is what I heard. You can't see it but you can hear her 1st little tooth. The first person we had to call was Daddy the Dentist at the Hospital.

So that afternoon we went and bought a RazBaby Razberry teether.

It has to be the greatest teether out there. Kaedyn loves it.

It's amazing how happy she has been we had no idea she was even getting a tooth.

8 Months with Kaedyn

On September 25th Kaedyn Brook
celebrated her 8 month Birthday (yep we still celebrate every month)
Our Sweet Little Kaedyn..

These past few months have been tough on are sweet little babe. She had a bit of tummy troubles when she was born, but we thought she overcame them. But at about 4 1/2 months the problems starting coming back. We have been at a GI (Gastro-intestinal) specialist for about 3 months now and they are still trying to figure everything out. She has had so many different tests and x-rays on her precious little body. It makes me so sad that she has to experience so much at such a young age. From 4 months to 6 months she gained only 1 ounce. But since then she has been on some different medicine and things are going a little bit better. And she has started gaining weight again. During all the different tests (many where she has to be strapped down).. So SAD :( She tries so hard to be so brave.. Below are a few pictures at Rainbow Babies Children's Hospital on our most recent trip.

Well she has done it.. She couldn't resist any longer. Kaedyn has discovered Mommy's magic purse. A favorite of many little children that we know. This is the purse of survival, a little bit of everything inside.. And probably enough treats to last a week.

It's fun to greet her in her crib and to finding her sitting up. She is doing really well with crawling and moving around and going from crawling to a sitting position..

On the Move, in Chicago

She is on the move..
So at the beggining of the month we took a 4 day trip to Chicago, for Brent to attend Board Certification courses for Pediatric Dentistry. So Kaedyn and I went along for the ride, and to play around in the hotel room. Good thing I brought along an X-Large Blanket, Because Kaedyn started crawling really well while we were there. It was a really nice hotel we were staying at, but hey you still never know how well they clean the floors.

Of course while we were there in Chicago it was World Record Rain Fall. The subway flooded, the highways were flooded, and the streets were flooded. Brent had to stand in the rain for hours while he waited for buses to get downtown. So I guess you could say this was a pretty memorable 1st trip to Chicago, we didn't get to do anything except play in the hotel and shop at Target since it was right next door. Because of all the rain you couldn't get down any of the roads. So as soon as the Conference was over we were headed home. Hopefully we will have another chance to go back before we move.

I guess it could be a pretty Skyline, if you could actually see it..
